Dr Peter Solomon

I graduated from the University of the Western States in Portland, Oregon, USA in 2000. I was born in the United States but grew up in the southern suburbs of Cape Town. After matriculating from Wynberg Boys High School in 1988, I returned to the USA to pursue my secondary education in Chiropractic. After four years of undergraduate pre-med study at Portland State University and Pacific Christian College, I started my post-graduate studies at The University of the Western States. In 2004, after practicing in Oregon, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, I decided to return to Cape Town and open my own clinic.

I have been certified by both the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) in the U.S.A. and the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Doctor of Chiropractic. In addition to this, I have also been certified by the NBCE in physiotherapy and other adjunctive procedures such as radiology, phlebotomy, obstetrics and minor surgery. In addition to these certifications I have received certification in the Kennedy Decompression Technique, and remain one of the only certified Kennedy Decompression technique and ATM2 practitioners in South Africa. At present I am furthering my studies in Functional Medicine through a certification process from the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM) in Seattle, Washington.

As part of a lifetime of education, I frequently attend post-graduate courses in the field of natural medicine and exercise to help improve my treatment of patients by implementing new techniques and technology on a regular basis.

I am co-owner of CrossFit False Bay and a certified Level 1 CrossFit coach as well as CrossFit Kids coach. I use much of the CrossFit philosophy and functional exercise in my treatment and rehabilitation of my patients both young and old.
